Burn Out - Drabble
A drabble is a piece of fiction constrained to exactly one-hundred words. I use these short works to hone my brevity.
My life is a burning pyre of mounting fire, attracting other flames to mingle and dance.
Like stars in orbit around our common points, we shine for all the worlds to see.
We burn, we fuse, we consume and create ceaselessly.
I cannot stop, I will not stop.
Not until I burn out.
The slow burn sustains longer, but lets much escape.
I want a conflagration that terrifies, a drive beyond controlling.
No part of my life should be unchanged by the flames.
All my loves should take light, their passions sharing in creation.
When cinders remain, I will rekindle.
