Say that you will let me lead.
You have everything to gain.
Close your eyes and trust in me.
I await your whispered words with bated breath.
Or even still quietude and assenting actions.
This wait could kill us.
Strangled, choking, wanting to suck in vital air.
Will you put your faith in me?
Have I ever let you down?
You have too much to lose to let me go.
May your surrender ring truer than any resistance.
May you follow me home,
Into my loving arms and safe keeping.
