In Search of Clarity - Drabble
A drabble is a piece of fiction constrained to exactly one-hundred words. I use these short works to hone my brevity.
My footsteps mar the smooth sands of midnight low-tide.
I've come here again in search of clarity.
In the past it has come in that moment I was pinned to the floor with arm twisted, or held at the tip of a blade.
It eludes me tonight.
No edge play can clear the haze of mind that mimics the sea fog tonight.
I need those sharp moments to remember, yet these days drag on without peaks or valleys.
I take a break from drudgery to watch the waves break across my feet and I quietly wish to weep.
